Misc: A sweet painting of a young girl peering into the bassinet of the newest member of the family. Even the family dog wants to see what's new. The intricate detail in this olde-fashioned baby bassinette is incredible. Some art critics have complained that Bessie's work lacked in detail -- often mentioning the fingers and hands of the children in her paintings. This complaint is somewhat true, but where she lack detail, she was able to capture the spirit and emotion of her subjects mores so than other artists.
