Misc: You can almost feel the kitten's fur in this study of the young child and his/her pet. The soft and smooth lines are enhanced by the mottled background. Bessie's sketch books show that she spent many hours trying to find positions that were natural and pleasing. The animals in her works never dominated, but each pet was given a role of importance.
