Misc: This print was often paired as a set with the title, "Mischief Brewing". Both of these prints were typically issued as sepia-toned print, and sone editions were hand-tinted. Unlike the hard-edge pen and ink illustrations of day, Bessie chose to use soft charcoal pencil, filled in with color washes and other delicate tones. The finest and most popular example of this technique was her 1912 painting, "The Butterfly".
