First Published: 1916 Original Reproduction Print Value: $75 - 150 Misc: This image and "Awakening" (published two years later in 1918) were often sold together as a pair. Together, these two prints sold in the millions, making Bessie Pease Gutmann the most published artist in her day (it is because of the large number of prints still in circulation, that these original reproduction prints have one of the lowest auction or resale values). By the 1930's, most children's bedrooms or nurseries had one or both of these prints hanging on the wall.
