Misc: In "Springtime" Bessie used a diagonal of the green shoreline and a diagonal of body form to create an "X". In its center is a cherub dipping its toe in a pool. "Springtime" has a similar theme and composition to her earlier work, "The Butterfly"; however, "Springtime" has a softer, and more impressionistic feel.
