Misc: Misc: More than half of Bessie's published illustrations, like this one, contain an animal interest. Our research shows that virtually all of the reproduction prints we've ever seen of this illustration (here's an example) have had too much magenta (pink) in the baby's white clothing and white bed sheets. We've taken out most of this color cast. We think you'll agree that doing this helps to reveal the richness of the other colors in the image (the greens and the blue-greens) that were being veiled by this incorrect color cast.
